Baylor Geosciences at the 2024 GSA Annual Meeting

Baylor Geosciences’ presence in Anaheim, California for the annual meeting of the Geological Society of America was impressive this year. The Baylor Geoscience Department sent a large contingent to attend and present research at the meeting, but the presence of our alumni was equally impressive. The attached photos provide a sample of the experiences which included many first-time student attendees, our diligent, enthusiastic staff, and our alumni. There were 28 authors with Baylor Geoscience connections, 13 oral presentation, and 5 posters. Our Departmental Booth which advertises our department, experienced numerous visitors inquiring about our graduate program and our open position in Earth Surface Processes. Kaylee Unilowski, an undergraduate major and co-author on a poster presentation, whose parents live in the area hosted a dinner for her co-authors and several other Baylor students, faculty, and staff.
